Awana Grand Prix
We had the Awana Grand Prix at our church this past Saturday. Nathan and his daddy had so much fun building and painting his car to get it ready for the big race! Nathan's car got to race 3 different times, and his car came in 2nd, 1st, and 3rd. He was excited. There were some amazing cars there, it was fun to see the different designs that people came up with. We'll definitely do this again next year! Here are some cute pics from the day!

Hillbilly Hotdogs
When we went to WV to visit our family, my parents took us to a place called Hillbilly Hotdogs. This was such a fun place to eat! It's even been featured on the Food Network show "Diners, Drive-in's, and Dives". The owners have such a sweet story, and they have an unbelievable list of specialty hot dogs! The restaurant (or whatever you want to call it) is made out of 2 school buses put together. Inside they have markers laying around and you can write your name on the walls, tables, ceiling, or wherever you want. They say they let the customer decorate! This was definitely a fun place to visit, the boys had a blast,and I can't wait to go back next time we're in! Here are some great pictures! Hope ya'll enjoy! Here's their website. Ya'll should go check it out! www.hillbillyhotdogs.com

WV trip and Nathan's outing with Daddy
The boys went to WV the week before Easter to spend some time with grandparents and give Mommy and Daddy a break. It was so nice, but I was definitely ready to get them back at the end of the week! We drove in on Good Friday and spent the rest of Easter weekend there. We had a wonderful time visiting with family! There are so many pictures to share I'm definitely going to have to break it up into a couple of posts. Enjoy these and I'll post some more in a couple of days!

Nathan loves spending time with his daddy. A couple of weeks ago when the weather started getting warm, Michael decided to go golfing and take Nathan with him. Nathan was so excited. He's really turning into one big boy!

Our House
I found this poem online and I thought it described our house perfectly!
Our House-by Edgar Guest
We play at our house and have all sorts of fun,
An' there's always a game when supper is done;
An' at our house there's marks on the walls an' the stairs,
An' some terrible scratches on some of the chairs;
An' ma says that our house is surely a fright,
But pa and I say that our house is all right.
At our house we laugh an' we sing an' we shout,
An' whirl all the chairs and the tables about,
An' I rassle my pa an' I get him down too,
An' he's all out of breath when the fightin' is through;
An' ma says our house is surely a sight,
But pa an' I say that our house is all right.
I've been to houses with pa where I had
To sit in a chair like a good little lad,
An' there wasn't a mark on the walls an' the chairs,
An' the stuff that we have couldn't come up to theirs;
An' pa said to ma that for all of their joy
He wouldn't change places and give up his boys.
They never have races nor rassles nor fights.
Coz they have no children to play with at nights;
An' their walls are all clean and their curtains hang straight,
An' everything's shiny an' right up to date;
But pa says with all of it's racket an' fuss,
He'd rather by far live at our house with us.

Fun Night with Friends and My Baking Boys
Well, better late than never! Here are the pictures from our fun dinner last week. We had such a good time together! These precious friends are moving to Japan at the end of the year as missionaries and we will miss them so much!

Here is another sweet little girl! I was able to help deliver both girls, and it is such a blessing to watch our children grow up together!

Their little girl was quite a hugger! They were so cute together. I think she got very attached to Samuel that night, and we thought they made a great match!(wink,wink!)

They had a Wii, which we had never played before. Did we ever have fun! The whole family got to play, even Samuel. Here he is "boxing" his Daddy. But I think his favorite thing was driving the Mario car. Nathan's favorite was the boxing and he even won a couple of times!

And mommy even had a go at it! (Which was quite hilarious!)

Here are my sweet baking boys! I think they had more fun licking the bowl.

And here is the finished product! Yummy oatmeal raisin cookies! I think they lasted about a day!
